Why Flour Turns into Drain Glue

When flour meets water it becomes a gummy paste that coats interior pipe surfaces. That tacky layer traps crumbs, oils, and soap scum, thickening into a stubborn barrier.

Even small rinsed bits add up, narrowing passageways until flow slows or stops. Dry wipe excess flour into the trash before washing bowls to avoid future clogs.
