The civil engineer Ed Metka has long been passionate about urban mobility. Concerned about the fate of many trolley models being destroyed or sold for scrap after he left the Army, Metka took action to preserve these historic vehicles. He purchased fourteen trolley cars from the Massachusetts Transportation Authority and arranged them near Windber, Pennsylvania, for public display.

Known as the "Trolley Graveyard," this unique exhibit remains in place today. To protect these valuable pieces of history, a caretaker and security guard live on-site full-time, ensuring the trolleys are not vandalized. Despite the passage of time, Ed Metka's passion for vehicles endures. Currently, he is seeking a buyer who can restore these trolleys to their former glory.
